Deep Relaxation @ Beldam Gallery

To commemorate the end of 'Essense' and the self-degradation of Deep Relaxation, I spend last night giving away tapes of the soundtrack to the artwork Deep Relaxation to various unsuspecting viewers. The finalé of the 'Essense' show was an evening of sensory performances, happenings and of course free gifts! A splendidly minimal performance of twangy-Telecaster-led-cymbal-resonance-droniness by Dawn Scarfe and Mel Gough followed by David Strang's clangy-wind-powered-boat-as-a-musical-instrument Mast. Enjoyed by all, except maybe Noemi Lakmaier who spent the evening attached to a ball of shoes ( a work called Experiment in Happiness) which, rather unfortunately, was situated more than an arms length away from the table of free snacks and booze.
